2nd Davyhulme Scout Group

We are situated on the corner of Bowfell Road and Craig Avenue, opposite MOVE Urmston Sports Centre.  We are a well-established group that originated in 1941, with the Scout and Cub sections to start.  Since then, we have opened our youngest section, the Beavers in 1982.  During the movements restructure, around 2004, we now have our own district Explorer Unit known as Dakota, which runs the Duke of Edinburgh scheme.  We have a small, committed group of Volunteers that lead the sections, supported by our Young Leaders from the Explorers Unit, but if you want to help, whatever it may be, please get in touch.

If you are interested in volunteering or joining, the contact details for the Team Leaders for each of the sections can be found below: –

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
